So, SWOT analysis is a generally accepted strategic framework that categorizes the decision variables into 4 main groups: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Furthermore, this tool will help you to visualize your business from all aspects.
Let’s see the details of internal aspects of SWOT analyis:
- Strengths: What are your strongest assets? For instance, financials, manpower, or location? What makes you better than the competition?
- Weaknesses: What are the main things you need improvement in your company? Also, are your competitors better than you in certain areas? What do you need to avoid?
Now, let’s look at the external aspects of SWOT analysis:
- Opportunities: Is your market growing? What are the trends that will help you build your business in the future? And will you be able to take advantage of it?
- Threats: Is there any potential risk regarding your business model? Then, what is the possibility to face a lawsuit? Is your market shrinking?
In summary, answering these questions and evaluating your business from these four different aspects with this template will help you give healthy decisions.

Now, to export pdf please follow these steps.
Go to the File tab.
Go to the Save a Copy tab.
Select PDF as the file type.
Press the Save button.

Hi! Can the SWOT template work with the KPI dashboard? More specifically, if the SWOT is filled out can it use the information to pre-populate the KPI’s?

This is not a default feature that we have in any of the mentioned templates.
You may copy-paste (as values) the data on the KPI Dashboards but there’s no auto export-match function available.

What you are doing looks very interesting! I think you are on to something.
I downloaded the free version so I could see more of what it does. I see there are only 10 rows for each area to discuss. If I were to purchase how many rows are available under each heading? Also, many times there are multiple levels under what is stated on each row. Will this SWOT allow adding drill down information under each row/statement?

The modifiable version of the template comes with a password that allows you to add more rows to the template. Once you unlock the template, you may display headings and modify the template to your wish by adding new rows. We recommend adding new lines from the middle of any block so the new line format matches the other lines.
Bonus trick: you can always make use of the “Format Painter” in Excel Home Ribbon to match the style of the new rows!
There’s an option to have multiple lines within a cell in Excel (enter with Alt) but this should be done manually. So, you will be able to add subtitles like that to your main row. Hope this helps!
